  3. Select files on either computer: Drag and drop the files you want to share.
  4. Send and receive: Files stream directly between both computers and save into your Downloads folder.
  5. Send files back: Once finished, your Windows computer can also send files back to your Mac without reconnecting.

Mac to Windows FAQs

Mac (macOS) and Windows use different default file systems (APFS for Mac and NTFS for Windows). If you format a USB drive on Windows with NTFS, a Mac can usually only read the files, not write new ones.
