Why iFileSender Exists
Today, modern devices are trapped inside proprietary ecosystems. Apple devices have AirDrop, but it only talks to other Apple devices. Android phones have Quick Share, but it does not work natively with iPhones or Macs.
When someone needs to move a vacation video from an iPhone to an Android phone, or copy work documents from a Mac to a Windows PC, they usually have to:
- Upload files to cloud storage like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
- Email files to themselves (which fails on files larger than 25 MB).
- Send media through messaging apps that heavily compress and degrade quality.
- Install third-party software or USB drivers on both computers.
We built iFileSender to eliminate these unnecessary barriers. iFileSender turns your web browser into an instant, high-speed, direct peer-to-peer file bridge.
Our Core Principles
You should never have to install an app or create an account just to send a file to a friend sitting across the table. iFileSender runs anywhere you have a web browser.
Your files belong to you. Files transferred using iFileSender stream directly from one device to the other. They are never uploaded to, processed by, or stored on our servers.
We never compress your images or reduce your 4K video bitrates. The receiver gets the exact binary file you selected.
Built on Open Web Standards
iFileSender is powered by modern WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) and WebSocket protocols. By utilizing chunked DataChannel streaming and backpressure management, we ensure reliable, high-speed transfers even for large multi-gigabyte files.
