Network Traversal and Firewall Limitations

iFileSender utilizes WebRTC STUN and TURN infrastructure to facilitate peer-to-peer discovery across network address translators (NAT). However, certain restrictive network configurations—such as symmetric NAT, enterprise firewalls, university campus networks, or deep-packet inspection gateways—may prevent successful peer pairing or force slower relay routes. We do not guarantee that transfers can be established across all network topologies.

Security and Room Code Disclaimers

While WebRTC DataChannels are end-to-end encrypted in transit via DTLS 1.3 / SRTP, transfer room access is authenticated via temporary 6-digit room PINs or QR codes. Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their active room PIN and pairing link. Anyone who acquires an active room PIN or scans the pairing QR code while the room is open may connect to your active transfer session.

International and Regulatory Compliance

Users accessing iFileSender from the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other international jurisdictions are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service complies with all local laws, including intellectual property laws, data export regulations, and privacy standards.
